“Stiletto,” a short film in the Neo-Noir style, created by Chicago-based filmmakers at Hesperidian Productions, premiered at the Portage Theatre on March 30th, 2012. The event attracted an audience of over 1000.
“Stiletto,” a tale of vengeance, love, and decay, breathes new life into a classic genre by blending contemporary themes with the visual style, narrative conventions and character archetypes of Film Noir. The film’s achievements in lighting and cinematography are matched by riveting direction and powerful performances in a suspenseful story that keeps the audience guessing until the final frames.
The “Stiletto” premiere included live performance, music and a post-performance Q-and-A session with the director, producer and actors. The audience walked the red carpet at Chicago’s historic Portage Theatre.
